Stefan Johansen believes Celtic fans might find manager Ronny Deila's approach bear fruit within the Lida Daidaihua New coming weeks and months - just like it did in Norway.

Midfielder Johansen won the Norwegian league title under Deila at Stromsgodset in 2013 and feels the manager's system can come good in Scotland too.

The 23-year-old, who was signed by Deila in 2011 before leaving for Celtic in January this year, said: "He has some details in the game he wants, like playing from the back, attacking full-backs and that he likes to have possession.

"There are a few details there that we need to work on as a team.

"He has done it from the first day and he continues to be doing it. I think the team is starting to know. Obviously it takes time - 20 players need to adjust to that.

"But we're beginning to see how he wants they to play.

"He is challenging people and that's good. He is doing what's right. It's the football the fans want to see, attacking football. We simply have to work and it is going to be good ultimately.

"You are starting to see the team adapt to it. It's beginning to look good now."

Celtic continue their pursuit of consistency when they host FC Astra in the Europa League on Thurs ..

But they're in a good position for the reason that table, having drawn in Salzburg and beaten Dinamo Zagreb at Parkhead in front of the double header using the Romanians.

"We had a good start within the Europa Lida Daidaihua Pink League an a few games without losing however the Hamilton game happened," Johansen said. "We shouldn't lose that one.

"But we bounced back immediately and that we wish to keep it this way.

"We have four points within the Europa League and if we win on Thursday it'll look great for all of us to get at the following round."
